Suphra ("we", "our", or "us") provides an AI-powered recipe generation and food ingredient management application (the "App") designed to help users discover recipes, manage their pantry, and reduce food waste.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using Suphra, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

1. User-Provided Data

You may manually enter information into the App, including:

• Ingredient and pantry inventory
• Dietary preferences and restrictions
• Bookmarked recipes and notes

This data is used solely to provide the App's functionality.

2. Account Information

The App may use authentication services (such as Supabase Auth) to manage user sessions. Depending on the login method, limited information may be collected, such as:

• Email address (if applicable)
• Authentication identifiers

We do not require unnecessary personal information.

3. Scanned Data

The App uses your device camera to scan barcodes and visually identify ingredients. When you scan an item:

• Barcode data is used to look up product and ingredient information
• Camera images are processed in real time and are not stored beyond the active scanning session
• Identified ingredients may be saved to your pantry if you choose to add them

We do not use scanned images for any purpose other than ingredient identification.

4. AI-Generated Content

When you request a recipe, ingredient data from your pantry is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate recipe suggestions.

• We do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic as part of this process
• Recipe generation inputs are limited to ingredient lists and relevant preferences
• Generated recipes may be stored locally or in your account for bookmarking purposes

5. Payments and Subscriptions

All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store:

• Credit card details
• Payment credentials

We may receive limited subscription status and Coins balance information for validation purposes.

6. Analytics and Usage Data

We may use third-party analytics tools to improve the App. These tools may collect:

• Device type and operating system
• App interactions and feature usage
• Performance and crash data

This data is used in aggregated and non-identifiable ways.

7. Log Data

In case of errors, we may collect diagnostic data such as:

• Device information and app version
• Date and time of usage
• Error and crash reports

This information is used for troubleshooting and improving reliability.

8. Notifications

The App may send notifications related to:

• Ingredient expiry reminders
• New recipe suggestions based on your pantry
• Subscription or Coins balance updates

You can disable notifications at any time via your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share data only with trusted third-party providers necessary to operate the App, including:

• Anthropic — for AI-powered recipe generation
• Apple — for payments and subscriptions
• Analytics providers — for usage insights and app improvement

These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data Retention and Deletion
