Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg potatoes
  • 400 g milk
  • 500 g heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • as needed Thyme
  • as needed bay leaf
  • as needed Salt
  • as needed black pepper
  • 30 g butter
  • as needed shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes and arrange them evenly in the baking dish.
  2. Mix the milk, cream, garlic, and butter in a pot, season with thyme, salt, and black pepper, then place over the heat.
  3. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, then cover the dish with parchment paper first, followed by aluminum foil.
  4. Place it in the oven at 200°C for 1h30min.
  5. Once cooked, top with shredded cheese and return it to the oven until melted, then take it out.
