Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat while you prepare the pizza.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Carefully transfer it to a sheet of parchment paper for easier handling.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the ricotta layer. If you like a little heat, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes on top.
  6. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the cheese.
  7. Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
