Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish fresh basil leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat while you prepare the pizza.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Carefully transfer it to a sheet of parchment paper for easier handling.
- In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the ricotta layer. If you like a little heat, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes on top.
- Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the cheese.
- Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
